An eastern-shore pocket of Sydney
Milk Beach is a small beach at the base of Hermit Bay in Sydney Harbour National Park, with the heritage-listed Strickland House above it. Its compact setting is part of its appeal: this is a different kind of waterfront from the central city or a broad ocean beach.
From a charter boat, the idea is to enjoy the shoreline as scenery while keeping your group together. You have your own onboard base for lunch and conversation rather than needing to organise a gathering on a small stretch of sand.
Make the bay a preference in your enquiry
If this part of Vaucluse appeals to you, mention the Hermit Bay area when asking about availability. The crew can discuss whether it fits your charter length, starting wharf and plans for food or swimming.
A scenic approach and a bay stop are different requests. For a stop, the skipper must consider conditions, traffic, depth and local restrictions. There is no reserved anchorage attached to a charter booking, and another bay may be more suitable on the day.
Leave time for the quieter part of the day
An eastern route could combine the Rose Bay area and views near Shark Island before considering a suitable place for lunch. Keep the list of must-see landmarks short if your group wants most of the charter to feel relaxed.
Bring prepared food if you would like a simple BYO outing, or ask about BBQ and catering arrangements. Swimming from the vessel is only considered with crew approval; beach landing, park entry arrangements and shore-based activities are not included.
A question about Milk Beach & Hermit Bay
Will the boat take us onto Milk Beach?
No beach landing is promised. We can discuss a scenic cruise or a suitable nearby bay stop, with the final position and activities decided by the skipper.
